Dying Light Will Be Getting an Enhanced Edition and Free Updates for Current Players

I haven’t kept up with all the DLC that Techland has put out for “Dying Light” since the game released at the beginning of the year, but by all accounts they’ve done an excellent job of ensuring fans get the most out of their season pass.

Well next year Techland is going to ensure that fans get the most out of their current game with a new update that’ll be free to current “Dying Light” owners.  On February 9th, 2016 Techland will release “Dying Light: Enhanced Edition” for PS4, PC, and XBox One.  Techland says that the enhanced edition will be more than just a “Game of the Year edition” and will actually feature improvements to the game. Here’s how they lay it out:

“We didn’t want to follow a beaten track and just re-release our game in a new wrapping with the current DLC added on,” explains Maciej Binkowski, lead game designer. “That’s why for the last half year we’ve been working on a ton of enhancements that we’re now going to make available to everyone. We’re adding bonus post-game content, a Nightmare difficulty level, nearly 100 new animations, new NPC models, advanced AI behaviors, and more. One year after the original release, DyingLight will be even bigger.”

What’s also interesting about this release is that current players will get the enhancement features for free in an update.  However, if you decided to buy “Dying Light: Enhanced Edition” you’ll also get all of the DLC released since launch along with the upcoming expansion “The Following” which takes the game into some new territory and seems like a major addition.  Check out the trailer for the Enhanced Edition below along with a look at “The Following.”
