Victoria Justice and Ryan McCartan Sign on for Fox’s TV Remake of ‘The Rocky Horror Picture Show’

I’m usually not a pessimistic when it comes to new projects.  I do my best to find the good outcomes for some possibly terrible ideas.  However, whenever I think of Fox producing a new “Rocky Horror Picture Show” for television, I start to feel real uneasy.

Today Fox announced a two new additions to the project and they’re stepping into some rather big shoes.  Victoria Justice has signed on to play Janet (originally played by Susan Sarandon) and Ryan McCartan will be playing Brad (previously played by Barry Bostwick).  Now, before we all start talking bad about these choices, let’s be honest.  There exists no alternative choice for Janet and Brad that would possibly make people happy.  Except for, maybe, an all gerbil cast.

The two new actors join the previously announced Laverne Cox who will play Dr. Frank-en-Furter. Reeve Carney will pay Riff-Raff and Staz Nair is pegged as Rocky.  The two-hour production is set to premiere sometime in the Fall.
