Chloe Moretz, Tilda Swinton, and Dakota Johnson to Star in ‘Suspiria’ Remake

It’s been a hot minute since we last heard about the “Suspiria” remake, but in case you thought it meant it had quietly disappeared, I’m here to burst your bubble.

Variety has reported that Chloe Moretz has officially joined Tilda Swinton and Dakota Johnson in the upcoming remake of the Dario Argento classic “Suspiria.”  This a passion project for director Luca Guadagnino who has been trying to get this film moving for some time now.  According to Variety the project will be a partnership with Amazon who will also handle worldwide distribution.

If you still haven’t gotten around to seeing the 1977 film yet, here’s how Variety breaks it down:

…The movie follows a young ballet dancer who travels to a prestigious dance academy in Europe, only to discover it is a front for something far more sinister and supernatural amidst a series of increasingly grisly murders.

Production is expected to start this October (appropriate) in Italy and Hungary, so keep your eyes peeled foreign horror friends.
