‘Cabin in the Woods’ Director Drew Goddard is Directing a New Movie

Jason McDonald

Even though Drew Goddard  hasn’t directed a feature film since his breakout hit “Cabin in the Woods” the man has been extremely busy.  Since 2012 he’s helped write such films as “World War Z,” “The Martian,” and “Daredevil.”  But it looks like Goddard is heading back to the director’s chair for a new film.

According to THR Goddard has signed a deal with Fox to direct and produce a script he wrote that is tentatively being titled “Bad Times at the El Royal.” And just what is the film about? Well . . . no one really knows yet. At bet THR has this much to offer: “it is a contained thriller with either sci-fi or horror elements.”

So yeah, no one knows what it’s about just yet, but if Drew Goddard is involved then damn, you’ve got my interest.

Stay tuned for me.
