Check Out the First Trailer for ‘The Dark Tower’

The Gunslinger and the Man in Black are finally coming.  The first trailer for Stephen King’s “The Dark Tower” is here and, just like the book, it’s got a few connections to the Stephen King universe hidden within it.

“The Dark Tower” stars Idris Elba as the Gunslinger, a man tasked with protecting an ancient tower from destruction by an evil force known as the Man in Black (Matthew McConaughey).  If you’re familiar with the book series you should be warned that this isn’t a direct adaptation of the books, but rather a sequel to it.

The film is set to hit theaters August 4, 2017.  Check out that sweet spaghetti western intro and let us know if you spot any references to other King works. I managed to find a reference to Pennywise and the Overlook Hotel.
