After the huge success of “Get Out” Jordan Peele is pretty much able to do whatever he wants right now and, thankfully, it looks like he wants to do more horror.

Deadline is reporting that “Get Out”director Jordan Peele is teaming up with Bad Robot and Warner Bros Television to bring a new hour-long series to HBO.  The series will be based on a novel written by Matt Ruff called “Lovecraft Country” and will feature some lovecraftian terrors and real life horrors.   Here’s how Deadline describes the book:

Lovecraft Country, the 2016 novel from Matt Ruff, focuses on 25-year-old Atticus Black. After his father goes missing, Black joins up with his friend Letitia and his Uncle George to embark on a road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America to find him. This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the malevolent spirits that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.

Deadline goes on to say that the series would be anthological, but whether or not that means each episode will be it’s own story or if it’ll be each season remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more details.
