I’m not sure what happened in the last few years, but at some point Stephen King properties became very hot again. “The Mist” recently hit Spike and “The Dark Tower” is just right around the corner. Not to mention the upcoming remake of “It” and the often rumored “Stand” film.
And with that the next series to get a chance in the spotlight is “Mr. Mercedes.” The series is being directed by Jack Bender, of “Lost” and “Under the Dome” fame, and features a stellar cast that includes Brendan Gleeson, Mary Louise Parker, Harry Treadaway, and Justine Lupe. Here’s the lowdown on the show:
From Executive Producers Stephen King, David E. Kelley and Jack Bender comes the story of a demented serial killer who taunts a retired police detective with a series of lurid letters and emails. This forces the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he can strike again
Now, here comes the tricky part. If you’re curious about where you can watch this show you can catch it on the Audience Network. If, like me, you’re asking “where the hell is that?” Then you’re not a DirectTV subscriber. Unfortunately, the Audience Network appears to be exclusive to DirectTV. So here’s how some streaming platform picks it up. For now, you can check out the trailer below.
