Hit the Road Again with the First Trailer for ‘The Houses October Built 2’

Jason McDonald

I was a bit lukewarm about the original “The Houses October Built.”  It was an okay film, but it just didn’t grab me the same way it did other people.  And it certainly didn’t leave me thinking that there was more to the story to be told.  And yet, here we are.

In the first trailer for “The Houses October Built 2” we see that our intrepid haunt goers survived whatever was going to happen to them at the end of the first film and to celebrate their new lease on life they go out and immediately do the same thing again.  You know what? Now you’re just asking for it.  Here’s the official description for the film:

Recovering from the trauma of being kidnapped last Halloween by the Blue Skeleton – a group who take “extreme haunt” to another level – five friends decide they must face their fears in order to move on. Heading back out on the road to visit more haunted house attractions, signs of the Blue Skeleton start appearing again and a new terror begins…

I know this is a movie and you’re supposed to suspend all disbelief (especially in this genre) but only an absolute idiot would crawl out of what was meant to be their grave and do the exact same thing that got them buried in the first place. It’s impossible to get into a movie if you can’t sympathize or root for the characters. As far as I’m concerned this is a waste of my time and hopefully being buried alive again will work this time.
