It’s the crossover episode some people have been asking for! It looks like “Fear the Walking Dead” and “Walking Dead” are going to finally have a crossover and it could be happening in the near future.
The New York Comic Con is currently underway and this weekend was the “Walking Dead” panel which featured many of the stars and creators of the series. However, one of the biggest things to happen during the panel was the revelation that the “The Walking Dead” and “Fear the Walking Dead” universes would collide in some way within the next year.
Obviously, at this time, they’re being very cagey about the details of how the worlds would crossover. However, series creator Robert Kirkman did say that “There is one character that is going to go from one show, that I will not name, to another show, that I will not name.” So it literally could be anything at this point. It could be one character from “Fear the Walking Dead” appearing as a zombie in “Walking Dead” or it could be something huge like “Fear the Walking Dead” characters helping Rick in his upcoming war against Negan. It’s hard to say, but Robert Kirkman did say it would be a “huge event.” But of course he would hype it up. So come to your own conclusion about how relevant this crossover will actually be.
And then to just doubly confirm it the Walking Dead Twitter posted this:
