‘Gremlins: Recall’ is the Short Film You Need This Holiday

Chris Savage

While a Gremlins 3 may never see the light of day, it appears as if one Ryan Patrick has taken it upon himself to give us the next best thing in his unauthorized short film, Gremlins: Recall. And, well, I’m just blown away. I was fully fixated to the screen as this excellent short unfolded before my very eyes. The production, the puppetry, the acting, the music, this one has hit it out of the park and I think you guys will absolutely love this one.

Gremlins are now considered high-end household pets, all thanks to a new medication, but as always this is Gremlins, and well, life finds a way.

So, share this with your friends and families to remind them that Gremlins are still as awesome as ever.

The short is written and directed by Ryan Patrick and stars Katherine Rodriguez as Claire, Randy Irwin as Owen, Sarah Lilly as Deb, and Robert Wood as The Pitchman.

The special creature effects were created by Eric Fox, with Dan Carr, Grayson Stone and Ryan Patrick voicing the Gremlins.

What do you make of this one? Let us know.

For more information on the short film, including Behind-the-Scenes footage, storyboards and much more, hit up Ryan’s official website.

I’d love to see this expanded into a full feature. I’ve been waiting for a real sequel for way too long. This is in the spirit of the originals and extremely well done. More, please!!
