Gary J. Tunnicliffe’s Hellraiser: Judgment, looked as if it was to be shelved for the foreseeable future much like many other Dimension Film titles, but it appears as if Hellraiser: Judgment may just see the light of day after all. According to a listing over at Amazon.com, the film has a release date of February 13, 2018 on Blu-ray and is currently available for pre-order.
Also, many are reporting that perhaps Lionsgate now holds the rights to the Hellraiser franchise due to their name appearing as the distributor on Amazon. The thing is, Dimension Films’ titles have been distributed through Lionsgate for the past several years through Anchor Bay under The Weinstein Company, so I’m pretty sure Dimension still retains the rights to the franchise, for better or worse.
The film stars Heather Langenkamp, along with Damon Carney, Randy Wayne, Alexandra Harris, John Gulager, Mike Jay Regan, Diane Goldner, Andi Powers, Jeff Fenter, Helena Grace Donald, Grace Montie, and Paul T. Taylor as Pinhead.
Synopsis: Detectives Sean and David Carter are on the case to find a gruesome serial killer terrorizing the city. Joining forces with Detective Christine Egerton, they dig deeper into a spiraling maze of horror that may not be of this world. Could the Judgment awaiting the killer’s victims also be waiting for Sean?
