‘Children of the Corn: Runaway’ Finally Resurfaces With a Trailer

Jason McDonald

There are certain constants in life: we have to pay taxes, everything dies eventually, and we’re gonna get a sequel to “Children of the Corn.”  However, the last constant had seemingly taken a prolonged absence.  But fear not, we’ve finally got a trailer for the next “Children of the Corn” and all is right in the world again.

When the trailer for “Children of the Corn: Runaway” dropped I had to think long and hard about when was the last time we even heard a movie was in the works.  It looks like news about “Children of the Corn: Runaway” first started circulating way back in March 2016 and production lasted a couple of weeks before things went completely dark. So if you feel like you’ve been caught unawares by this new sequel, that’s why.

“Runaway” is directed by John Gulager and centers on . . .

a young pregnant woman named Ruth who escapes a murderous child cult in a small Midwestern town. She then spends the next decade living anonymously in an attempt to spare her son the horrors that she experienced as a child. She lands in the small Oklahoma town…but something is following her. Now, she must confront this evil or lose her child.

You can check out the trailer below.  According to B-D it’ll be hitting Blu-Ray, DVD, and VOD on March 13th.

horrormovies.ca with a CA at the end of the web address you would think that we could play the trailer. Nice try though.
