Could the Sequel to ‘Behind the Mask’ be Finally Happening?

We’ve known for years now that the people behind “Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon” have wanted to make a follow up film to their cult hit.  However, for reasons unknown to me, things have never quite come together.  Could that finally be changing?

We don’t have much to go on at this point, but the official Facebook page for the “Before the Mask: The Return of Leslie Vernon” recently updated with a simple post.  A room full of people with an out of focus script at the forefront.  Accompanying the image was the hashtag “#itshappening.”  That’s a vague as you can be, but it seems like a pretty safe bet to assume that the “its happening” part is referring to the follow up film.

For now, we just have to wait patiently and see what happens next as the Facebook page isn’t willing to give up any hints beyond what we’ve seen so far. Stay tuned for more and check out the post below for yourself.
