‘Ghosthouse’ Looks to Reopen its Doors for a Remake

Chris Savage

Umberto Lenzi’s (Cannibal Ferox) 1988 flick Ghosthouse holds a special place in my heart, while it may not be his best work it was still a fun little ride. But, skip forward 30 years and it appears as if there is still some Ghosthouse love as Dustin Ferguson (Sleepaway Camp IV) is currently in pre-production on the remake of the film and we have some early details for you below.

The remake is already set to star Paul Taylor (Hellraiser: Judgment) as the character “Grim Reaper”, while¬†Joe Castro (“Wishmaster 3 & 4”, “Night of The Demons 3”, “Blood Feast 2”) will be provided the special F/X. And¬†Justin Apone (“The Toolbox Murders 2”) will be handling the music.

They already have several investors on board but they are hoping to raise some funds for the cast, crew and special F/X. So, if you’d like to get involved and help them make this the best remake it can possibly be, head on over to their Indiegogo page and have a gander as to how you can help.

The 2018 remake follows “a group of college kids who trace the origins of a mysterious television broadcast to a secluded old house in the woods. Ectoplasm pits, flying objects, ghostly apparitions and the Grim Reaper himself are just a few of the horrors that await them inside.”
