Could ‘Evil Dead 2’ Still Be Happening with Fede Alvarez?

With the recent cancelling of the “Ash vs Evil Dead” series, it looks like our only hope for more “Evil Dead” action is another movie.  So far it seems like the most likely candidate would be a follow up to the 2013 “Evil Dead” film; however, we haven’t heard a peep about that series in quite some time…

But what’s this? Could something be on the horizon?

Over the weekend director Fede Alvarez, who directed the 2013 “Evil Dead,”  posted a poll to his Twitter account asking fans what he should do.  The three choices were “Evil Dead 2”, “Don’t Breathe 2”,  and Stop Making Movies.  It probably isn’t too surprising, but “Evil Dead 2” won with 70% of the votes. Now, obviously a director like Fede Alvarez isn’t going to let the whims of a Twitter poll dictate his future projects and he is currently working on the sequel to “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, but this certainly gives hope to fans of the 2013 “Evil Dead.”  It’s at least a good sign that Fede is still thinking about and still interested in revisiting that film.  The real question, though, is whether or not a studio wants to see him take a crack at “Evil Dead 2.”

What do you think?  Would you rather see “Evil Dead 2” or “Don’t Breathe 2”? Let us know below.
