Netflix Orders Horror Anthology Series from Guillermo Del Toro

Jason McDonald

After taking home a few Oscars for the “Shape of Water” it’s no surprise that Netflix would want to continue their partnership with Guillermo Del Toro.  Currently, the writer/director has a partnership with the streaming channel for his animated series “Trollhunters.”  Now the two entities will be partnering on a horror anthology series.

According to Deadline, Netflix has ordered a horror anthology series from the director titled “Guillermo Del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight.”  Not a whole lot is known about the anthology series, but Deadline did offer this description:

The series is described as a collection of the Oscar-winning filmmaker’s personally curated stories, described as both equally sophisticated and horrific.

It’s confirmed that Del Toro will write and direct some episodes of the anthology, but he will also be picking a team of “top horror writers” and “new filmmakers” to collaborate on the series.
