The First Teaser for ‘Stranger Things’ Season Three is an Ad for a Mall

Shockingly, it would seem that the little town of Hawkins hasn’t had a mall for the last two seasons of “Stranger Things.”  Thankfully, the fine folks at Starcourt Industries are about to rectify that.

Netflix has released an interesting little teaser trailer for the upcoming third season of “Stranger Things” and it appears to be an ad for a new mall being opened up in Hawkins.  It’s an appropriately cheesy ’80s commercials with zooms, swipes, and spinning images.  Oh and a pair of goofy young teens.

So what does this all mean? No idea, but the arrival of a mall has to be pretty big news for a small town.  I have a feeling we’ll see quite a few plot threads surrounding it.  Not to mention this is also an introduction to Starcourt Industries.  Perhaps a company with some ill intentions?  Hmmm?  I’m willing to bet the final climactic battle of the season will probably take place in the mall.  Seems appropriate.
