The Trailer for George R.R. Martin’s ‘Nightflyers’ Has Landed

Nightflyers, based upon George R.R. Martin’s novella of the same name will soon be making its way to the small screen very soon as a trailer for the upcoming series which will hit Syfy in the States and Netflix in the UK has arrived, and it has some serious echoes of Event Horizon.

The novel was first adapted into a feature film in 1987, and I’ll be honest, never seen it. So, have you guys read the book? Seen the movie? Let us know what you thought and if you’re stoked to see Martin’s vision adapted into a TV series?

SynopsisFrom the mind of George R. R. Martin, Nightflyers is a psychological thriller, set in deep space on the eve of Earth’s destruction. A crew of explorers journey on the most advanced ship in the galaxy, The Nightflyer, and work to intercept a mysterious alien spacecraft that might hold the key to the planet’s survival. As the crew nears their destination however, they discover that mysterious forces and even their own minds are working against them.

As stated above, Syfy will air the show sometime this Autumn in the States and we can only assume it won’t be long after until it arrives on UK Netflix, possibly in the Fall?

George R.R. Martin any book he writes takes me to another place and time, I can let my mind relax and not remember some things better left in the past, as for Nightflyers I believe I saw it years ago. Wish that Netflix here in the States would have it. I no longer have cable or satellite it unbelievable how expensive and how little service one gets for the price.
