Negan from ‘The Walking Dead’ Has Been Announced as a DLC Character for Tekken 7

In the last few years a lot of horror characters have found their way to fighting games.  In particular we’ve seen horror icons like Freddy and the Predator appear in the “Mortal Kombat” series.  While a strange combo, it still makes sense.  While “Mortal Kombat” isn’t a “horror” game, it’s the kind of gruesome environment where a guy like Jason Voorhees would fit right in. The Tekken series; however, is anime as hell and it would be the last place where I’d expect to see a horror character.  And yet . . . here we are.

EVO (giant fighting game tournament) was held this past weekend and as part of the festivities a few surprised announcements were made.  Among them was the revelation that Negan, from “The Walking Dead,” would be coming to Tekken 7 as a DLC character.  The announcement came at the end of a trailer that you can check out below and didn’t include very many details.  In fact we don’t even get a good look at what Tekken Negan will look like, but it seems like they’re going with Jeffrey Dean Morgan as they included his actual voice in the trailer.  Check it out below and think about how crazy it’ll be to see Negan taking on Akuma and Heihachi.
