Original ‘Onimusha’ is Getting an HD Update for Modern Consoles

Capcom has been doing an excellent job of mining it’s classic titles as of late, but there’s one warrior who hasn’t gotten any love in a long long time.  Well, that changes next year.

Capcom has announced that the original “Onimusha” is getting an HD re-release for modern consoles.  The updated version will be titled “Onimusha: Warlords” and will feature an HD visual upgrade that includes a new widescreen display, but you’ll also be able to switch back to the classic display.  The new game will also feature analog controls, but like the display, you’ll also be able to utilize the old controls.

“Onimusha: Warlords” will release for PC, PS4, XBox One, and Nintendo Switch on January 15, 2019 for $19.99.  You’ll be able to get physical and digital versions of the game as well.  Check out the announcement trailer down below.
