Jamie Lee Curtis Up for Another ‘Halloween’ if David Gordon Green Returns

Jason McDonald

“Halloween” is about to wrap up it’s second week in theaters and so far the film is doing gangbusters.  So far the film has managed to pull in an impressive $126 million and you have to imagine with the actual Halloween holiday coming next week, there might be one final surge at the box office.

With all that success it’s easy to assume that Universal has a newfound taste for Michael Myers and we should probably expect an official announcements regarding a sequel very soon.  At this point we don’t know for certain if creative team David Gordon Green and Danny McBride will return for the sequel or if the story will continue with any of the stars.  At this point all things are possible, but we at least we now have an idea of who is interested in returning.

While speaking with Empire magazine Jamie admitted that “If David Gordon Green called me up and said let’s do another ‘Halloween,’ I would do another ‘Halloween.'” Sounds like Jamie Lee Curtis had a great experience with Green and it’s clear Green knows how to put together a winning film combination, so it’s no surprise that she would want to work with him again. Now is there a chance Green might not return for a sequel? It’s definitely possible, but it sounded like he had plans for the future of the film series so it’s very likely he would be back.

At this point we don’t have a whole lot else to work off of, but knowing Jamie is down for more “Halloween” is always nice.  We’ll just have to see what else they can do with Laurie to justify her return.
