John Carpenter Wants to Score the Next ‘Halloween’ Film

If, for some reason, you thought there wasn’t any chance that there would be another “Halloween” movie than let me assure you: there will be another one.  Aside from the fact that there is a lot of talk from the people who brought the movie to life about there being a sequel, the movie also made a ton of money at the box office.  But will the man who started it all be returning for another go around?

John Carpenter, the man who directed and wrote the original 1978 “Halloween”, returned to the franchise to provide the score for the latest entry.  You see, along with writing and directing the original Carpenter also created that iconic “Halloween” theme.  So will he be back for the next movie?  In an interview with Consequence of Sound John Carpenter was asked if he would come back to score the next film.  And it sounds like he’s definitely ready to go again.

We’ll be ready. We’ve all talked about it. We’ll be ready.

There were a lot of great elements in the recent “Halloween” movie, but the score was certainly one of the highlights.  It featured some of my favorite Carpenter pieces, so I’m definitely eager to see what he can bring for the second round.
