We’ve had a few teases for Dennis Widmyer and Kevin Kolsch’s adaptation of Stephen King’s Pet Sematary over the past few months, but now we have for you the official full trailer which you can view below. Sadly I wish I held off on viewing the footage, as I felt that they revealed quite a twist that I wasn’t expecting, but then again maybe it isn’t that big of a deal. Still, I’m stoked for this one, loved the book and I’m sure they’ll deliver.
The film stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, Hugo Lavoie, Lucas Lavoie, Jeté Laurence, and John Lithgow as Jed Crandell.
Synopsis: Based on the seminal horror novel by Stephen King, Pet Sematary follows Dr. Louis Creed (Clarke), who, after relocating with his wife Rachel (Seimetz) and their two young children from Boston to rural Maine, discovers a mysterious burial ground hidden deep in the woods near the family’s new home. When tragedy strikes, Louis turns to his unusual neighbor, Jud Crandall (Lithgow), setting off a perilous chain reaction that unleashes an unfathomable evil with horrific consequences.”
Look for Pet Sematary in theatres this April 5, 2019.
