I don't want to give too much away, but here's the official synopsis.

I just finished Brian Keene's new book Castaways and it was excellent. In the author's note he wrote that he actually got the idea from reading Richard Laymon's Beast House and watching Survivor. If you like horror and Survivor, you'll really like this book.
