This is good news. The original just didn't reach it's potential. And how did Philin miss all the previous news about this?

It turned out to be a wonderful suprise with Romero as co-writer and producer, this was done better then the original which was never up to snuff with his zombie trilogy, Martin or Creepshow.

Yeah, the original never really lived up to it's potential, great concept, but Romero just didn't have the budget to pull it off in a big way. This one looks like a blast though!

I loved the original but it did have some flaws to it. I'm hoping the remake can fill in those gaps from the original, so I am looking forward to seeing how this movie turns out. Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

the original is a good story and idea - i really like that

but the rest of it deserves a modern day make over

it will also be pimp - if they keep up with the violence
