as far as genres go: industrial, metal, classic rock, some rap, techno, hardhouse, randomness, etc.

some bands/musicians i like: paul simon, in strict confidence, vnv nation, aphex twin, bjork, tom petty and the heartbreakers, rasputina, origa, ludacris, slipknot, beastie boys, juno reactor, delerium, guns n roses, soul coughing, dead prez, mc chris, razed in black.... and lots and lots of others.

metal, classic rock, grunge, soul, old country(johnny cash, merle haggard, george jones, ect), pretty well everything but rap, disco, pop and new country.

metal!!!!!! i am one hell of a metal head. i love death metal like Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation, and Cradle of Filth, murderdolls, Rob Zombie, White Zombie Mushroomhead. i love old school like Metallica, AC/DC, Megadeth (odviously sience its my avatar) Anthrax, Iron maiden, Judas priest, Guns n' roses, motley Crue. Lamb of god, bury your dead, Mudvayne, Disturbed, Pantera, Slipknot, Hatebreed, Manson, korn, Tool, powerman 5000 (saw them live, kicked hella ass). nickelback, hinder, Black sabbath, drowning pool, the eagles, green day, godsmack, Styx, linkin park, i love Pink Floyd and Bob marley...
sry long list, but i like alotta stuff.

id rather say that bathory and celtic frost (hellhammer) started black metal ...the way the old school is meant to be...venom was "talking evil" but its more punk than metal...now if you really dwell into it the first band ever speaking of satan and using metal was black sabbath ......
i am glad though other people here know the genre ..it kinda matches horror movies for me \m/

Hey man...... I'm sure we all know what black metal is about. I like listening to Mayhem's De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas and their Deathcrush album alot, but most people I know can't handle it. Don't forget who pretty much started black metal and death metal... Venom. They stole some of my hearing away in the 80's those bastards

hmm borknagar used to be black metal ..now the vocals are clean and it cannot be considered bm anylonger ...their first album is really nice and is bm..

I LOVE Borknagar, black metal band from Norway, the Origin cd
is as soothing as classical, yet they can crash out some vibes.
