I love the entire genre, but pressed, I'd have to say "Shaun of the Dead". Wright and Co. made us give a crap about the characters.

SPecial Props to Savini's NOTLD remake, Both DAWNs, and the original Return of the Living Dead.

Dawn 78 without a doubt but I liked Burial Ground, The Beyond and Junk to name some that are a bit underrated.

Technically 28 Days Later isn't a zombie movie. It's just people with "rage". But still, it's an awesome awesome movie.

I don't have a single favorite but some of them are "Dawn of the Dead" (original and 04 remake), "Night of the Living Dead", Fulci's "Zombi", "Return of the Living Dead" and the "Evil Dead" series.
