my question is, has anyone watched the current trailer of pa2? theres scenes in there that werent even in the film.

And Iithink that differentiates your crowds, the gore vs no gore. I'm personally a fan of suspense thrillers more than slashing and blood and gore and guts. Some friends of mine are excited to see this but I haven't even seen the first one so I'm looking for input and everyone seems to have a very distinct view on it.

Found a premiere interview this morning and in it the producer, Oren Peli, says he thinks people are here for the 'creepy' as opposed to gore and over the top special effects. I think it depends for sure on what you are looking for and it sounds like people would know whether or not they would be into the 2nd one by knowing about the first. Its a franchise, its not all of a sudden going to be blood and guts.

I was scared shitless with this movie but I was expecting to be scared. The best way to watch it is alone with the lights out and the sound all the way up. I really enjoyed it, and it shows that independent filmmakers can make blockbusters as well. The trailer looks great, made chills go up my spine. I'll be checking this out before Saw 7 I'll tell you that much.

Same here. Im sick of the SAW films. The first PA was great in my opinion. I saw it in theaters twice and couldnt sleep through the night for a week. Im not getting my hopes up for this sequel but Im definitely curious enough to give it a shot.
