I think that's why I didn't enjoy it. I've never been a fan of any game where i have to run, aim and shoot all at once but know a bit about it from seeing others play. But I really didn't get it. I think I'm gonna ahve to get another watch in soon.

Yup, watched the special features (I always do). What I found interesting was that the first demon creature we see -- the one with no face or arms -- was a real guy in a suit. When I first saw the movie I thought for sure they'd digitally erased his arms, but no, dude's arms were strapped tight behind him. Must've been painful, but the final effect was fantastic.

Yep, fluxor that ending; it made zero sense, with or without the game. I tend to forget about the ending because it's so bad. If you haven't seen the special features, Lon, the one on the creatures is really good. Especially with the bathroom creature, the actor was a hoot.

As big a fan as I am of the movie, it definitely has its story problems. The ending is frustratingly ambiguous and the grainy film flashback near the climax left me scratching my head, and I actually HAD played the games.

But it's a beautiful movie to look at. It was art designed to the nth degree and the creatures -- especially the eerily sexy demon nurses and the towering Pyramid Head -- are the stuff of nightmares.

^ huh, I was talking to a dude today about silent hill and he had never watched it. He asked if he needed to play the games to understand what was going on and I told him absolutely not. I never played through all of the games and the movie makes perfect sense to me.

In other words, whatchoo talkin' bout Willis? LOL
