IMHO...I think X gets so much hate because it was after 8, but especially 9. 9 really was the turning point where the series no longer attempted to be what it was.

Think there is also hate for a series that run out of ideas and then turn to pace. As I've written before, I think every movie should take place in space. Why have anything be here anyway?

I like it too, i don't know why some people hate it cause the kills are awesome.

I guess I'll jump in here too. My fave has always been Part 2 but I really do enjoy them all. Jason X was just pure awesomeness IMO, haha.

We totally agree on this. My fave too. I just love the atmosphere of these movies. Isolation. Woods. Camps. I get why people don't like them, but I grew up with these and they are fun.

Part 6: Jason Lives is my favorite installment in the series.
Don't care much for part one, although I do appreciate the film for kickstarting that 80's slasher craze. Part 2 is better. Jason X I liked, Part 4 (if I remember correctly) I liked a lot too.

I wish I could remember what happened in all the Fridays...I need to get the whole series on DVD and give them all a watch again. But from what I remember, all in all, Friday the 13th is a fun series. Even the bad installments were at least fun.

Part 7 was great. It was also the last good one. Even with psychic powers it was still grounded. After that, all down hill.
