I am a film fan first and foremost! I like to see what awards hollywood give hollywood. It's inherently interesting. To each their own but it's fun to follow awards season because I am a film fan and yes not since the 70's and a bit of the 80's has the Academy given proper awards but I have faith it will get back to the good old days.

I'd be pissed if Social Network won, Black Swan and Inception have more going for them. Especially Black Swan right now is being flooded with fantastic reviews. Inception is no Memento for Christopher Nolan, but I think he could snag up the Director statue

I predict I will watch the Oscars just to see the forced jovial looks on the faces of those who lose, while giving very little regard to the actual films themselves, none of which particularly interested me. I'll root for my preferred actors/actresses/writers/directors based on how big a fan I am, but I couldn't care less about what movies are nominated.

Its going to be a fight between The Social Network, Black Swan, The Fighter and Inception for best picture. I think The Social Network will win, given the massive amout of awards praise so far.

I can't complain there, I think Inception, Black Swan and Social Network will fight for most of the awards. I hear Eddie Vedder might be up for one for his song in Eat Love Pray which would be awesome given I love PJ!!
