As far as I'm concerned, you can immediately count Shaun and Torrance out.   Freddy might be a bit more trouble, but ultimately still isn't a threat.  Obviously he'd first need to be drawn into the real world in order to be involved in this fight in the first place (The Blob is a mindless, consuming mass and has never been shown to be dormant, let alone in need of sleep, so it's not like it can be pulled into the dream world).

All that said, in the "real world" there's nothing Freddy can do to hurt the blob.  He'd have just as much luck taking a razor to a bowl of oatmeal.  The Blob would consume him -- but Freddy would just be reborn in the dreamworld, like he always is, in every installment of the NOES series.  Any time he was pulled back into the real world, Blob would have a free meal.  I'd imagine the point would come where Freddy would tire of being eaten by the Blob and reborn over and over again, and would stop bothering at all.

My take: The Blob wins.

Winner and champion: The Blob.

I think Freddy would be faster than The Blob, therefore able to sneak up behind him and slash him into tiny chunks of Blob. Although Freddy would be deadlier in the dream world, obviously, I don't think the fight would take place there as I can't see a scenario where The Blob would be all tucked up in bed, vulnerable and waiting for Freddy to pounce.

Although the fight would then have to take place in this realm, I still think that Freddy's slashing ability takes a hell of a lot to be beaten, and I don't think The Blob has it.

So Freddy wins for me

So we're down to Freddy & the Blob.  I doubt the Blob sleeps, so the fight will have to occur in the 'real' world.  The only way Freddy could beat the Blob would be to get a lot of liquid nitrogen (or something similar) and then transport the Blob to Antarctica.  Maybe he could pull off the initial freezing part, but I can't see him borrowing a C-130 transport.  Nor can I see him getting along well with the military to help him out.

Gotta go with the Blob.

Now is when we take each of the weekly winners from the last four weeks and pit them against one another in a four-man free-for-all.  Each monthly winner will then sit on the sidelines and recuperate until the First Half-Season Final, where he/she/it will then square off against future monthly winners.
