A mini-rant: I used to like Wolverine back in the 80s, but over the years writers have turned his "regenerating" ability into a "can't be killed no matter what you do" ability.  Used to be, he'd be shot or stabbed or break a bone and it would take anywhere from a couple hours to a day to heal.  Now, though, they've got Hulk ripping him in half and Cyclops blasting his brain to jelly in his skull, and dude just comes right back at you.  Even for a comic book, that's goddamn ridiculous.
