I liked Wolf Creek well enough. Some great scenery in the beginning and the acting was pretty damn good. It sort of came out at the same time aas all the "torture porn" type horror movies like Hostel, Saw, Turistas etc. and it didn't really stick out because of that. Good but not great. I really liked Rogue, until the last 15 minutes. I thought it would be absolutely ridiculous, but it had some amazing cinematography.

Also thought I'd add, I don't care about the gun shit, don't own any or know much about them, so all the little nuances that piss you guys off, makes no difference to me.

Wolf Creek: 7/10 for me. Good film, and I have a copy

Now, the whole gun handling thing. It effing URKES MY ASS sometimes how they do that shit. They think some sound is cool and dub it in. No, do it the way the actual gun would sound dumbass.

Case in point (and my biggest hatred) the movie Runaway with Tom Selleck and Gene "my tongue is longer than yours" Simmons.

The robot that rolled around with a REVOLVER...a SIX SHOOTER...made the sound of a PISTOL being cocked with the slide to load the chamber. What a bunch of SHIT.

@Lon- the ED movies aren't the only ones that have done that, either. I'm guessing that directors and/or sound guys are completely clueless, or more likely, they know that the audience knows what that means. Still doesn't make it right.

@Ghosty- an extension of the handgun thing. Lots of times you see them drop the clip, slam a new one it, and never cock it the first time before starting to fire! I'm so with you on gun handling in movies. And let us not even talk about the issue of infinite bullets (video games even get that correct!!!!! [mostly] ).

Exactly Az! Drives me insane. Lon - The worst violator I've seen is in Masters of the Universe.

It's not just shotguns either, happens with hand guns as well. It's not just the re-cocking that drives me nuts too...its when someone is pointing a gun at someone, then into their conversation they chamber a round. Like...you didn't have a round ready the entire time you had your gun pointed at them? Or, just the thought that these bad ass dudes pull out their guns, and then have to chamber a round? They don't just keep a round in the chamber automatically? They're worried it will go off or something?

In Heat, they actually did this perfectly. Al Pacino is in the elevator, takes out his gun, pulls the slide back a bit to check and make sure there was a round in it. That is realistic and brilliant film making in my book. I know its done for sound effects, and to make things dramatic, but it is one of those things that irritates me.

Anyway...just my nitpicky ramble.
