It's too bad we're spread out so far.
I think the most central one would be the ones they have in Chicago, but that's still a hike for everyone. So we just bunker down with Movie Nights and taunt the fabric of reality. And once a year we have HorrorFest where all the gods take the weekend off for fear of the awesome.

Sounds like a good idea. I think back in the MO forum days they did a meetup at a horror convention. that was supposedly awesome.

Yeah, Azzie's kicked all manner of anus with Movie Night. But a camping trip? I'd have to insist on one rule being no one under the age of 18. I won't be held responsible if a minor shows up and is eaten by a bear or, worse, is taken advantage of.

Yep, you never remember this (not saying you should), but it was you and I posting back and forth late one night, that came up with the idea for a get together...then, when that did not seem to be a possibility, you came up with movie night, and you do an awesome job with it.

I used to remember what Thread that was...but don't off hand anymore.

By the way, the whole reason Movie Nights came into being was because I tried organizing people to get together at one of the film festivals (I think it was the Toronto one at the time); then I realized that we are spread out across half the planet, .

If the one in the US goes well, people in other countries should meet up and do this and let everyone know how it goes. It would be nice to see how these go.

I would absolutely come to this, the only hitch is that I live all the way across the pond lol. Sounds awesome, I've never been camping and I don't think anywhere without showers and taps is my natural habitat, but it would be a blast Hope you guys get it up and running

The rules I listed were very lenient. They pretty much consisted of "don't do anything illegal or stupid/dangerous".

It would be awesome, but I believe we have tried something like this in the past and it was almost impossible to set up due to everyone being so spread out. But it would fantastic if we could organize it.
