Buddy Bacon from "Slaughterhouse"

He's a killer from a slaughterhouse named Bacon... he also carries a big ass cleaver.

I definitely agree about the "Tall Man" from Phantasm, absolutely creepy. In some ways he is an icon of horror, almost any fan of the genres knows him. That said he doesn't have the wide spread appeal of the others named.

What Horror characters do u feel are not talked about enough but deserve to be as iconic as Freddy, Leatherface, Pinhead, Jason, Myers, Frankensteins Monster, Dracula etc and why?
