I loved Return of the Living Dead 3. I can't think of many others goth horror flicks that rocked my socks.

I love gothic movies, but I usually think of films like:

Black Sunday
The Whip and The Body
Eyes Without A Face
Nosferatu
Roger Corman/Poe film series
Hammer films- especially the Dracula movies
Interview with a vampire
The woman in black
Sleepy hollow, edward scissor hands, frankenweenie... yeah anything by Burton
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Brotherhood of the Wolf
The innocents
and of course the classics from the 30s...dracula, frankenstein, bride of frankenstein

As for "Goth" horror films try...

The Hunger- can't get much more goth than this one...Bauhaus performs Bela Lugosi's dead.
Blair Witch 2
The Crow
The craft
return of the living dead 3
Plan 9 from outer space- just because Vampira is in it

I see The Crow as a supernatural amalgamtion of goth and noir. The soundtrack is far from goth -- who would label Stone Temple Pilots or the Rollins Band as such? -- but the costume design, cinematography and set decoration, definitely. Overall, though, I think the film is more about the themes than how it looks, and the unfortunate mirroring of its story to real life. In the film Brandon Lee plays a character who is killed and comes back from the grave; in real life Brandon Lee died during film but "came back" during its release. It adds a deeper and somber -- not to mention unfortunate -- dimension to the film itself.

I'm very against the word goth as it's associated now with dressing in black, whining about crap and listening to Evanescence. Gothic is a romantic in its purest form and like Raven said, Edward Scissorhands would be a good example of that. I wouldn't call The Crow gothic lol. At best it has elements of noir

Hi everyone

I recently re-watched one of my favourite films of all time, The Crow last night after reading about it in this little blog - https://www.facebook.com/notes/cult-lab … tif_t=like - and thought it would make a great thread!

So what are some of your favourite Goth movies? Films like May, Edward Scissorhands and so on. There's quite a few of them! Think dim lighting, dark colours, black hair and plenty of leather too!
