I disagree.  I think the movie was very good.  Not better than the book, but still good.  To me, the order of movies will always be: 1) The Exorcist; 2) The Ninth Configuration; 3) Legion; and 4) Dominion.

Anyway... the movie was Donnie Darko (a personal favorite of mine).
