I would go with : American Werewolf in London John Carpendar's The Thing The Changling Ghost Story Dark Night of the Scarcrow The Original Night of the Living Dead (B&W) Dog Soldiers and Alien
Ahh yea.. Alone in the Dark.. My bad.. They sound pretty similar.. I want to see that movie eventually.. I'm a big fan of Donald Pleasance and that is one of his films I have yet to see..
Is that the series of "Don't Be Afraid of the Dark?" The one with the kids around a campfire?
I tend to remember enjoying that way too much for my own good, is there a release for that, if so I'm gonna hunt that one down.
The movie I've seen called Don't Be Afraid of the Dark came out in 73' Unless you mean the more recent television series by the same name. Which one is it morpheus?
-texas chainsaw massacre (original) -the hills have eyes (original and remake) -house of 100 corpses/the devils rejects (kinda surprised i havent seen anyone list these movies...) -sAW 1+2 -hostel while im into all sorts of horror i prefer the new school R rated stuff...big time blood and gore fiend...
Goon is a massive fan of both of the films, and the good thing about the two films is that they are different, cartoony to gritty, insane to logical, while I find the first film a little too stupid at times, it's amazing, but the Rejects blows that out of the water in every aspect.
Oh, and welcome to the site there BYTYK, and the dead pool has another member.
Jaws (will always be number 1) Dog Soldiers Halloween F13 F13 Part 3 Alien (only the first one) Dead Films (all) An American Werewolf in London The Howling Amityville (original) Shaun of the Dead TCM (original) ROTLD 1 and 2 Evil Deads (except 2) Slashers Poltergeist Cemetary Man The Grudge (I don't care what anyone says, that movie freaked me out) The Exorcist Saw Jack-O (this movie cracks me up) ... There are tons more. (and great call with Let Sleeping Corpses Lie, Goon. )
Thanks Maven, good call with Slashers.. That is definetly on my list of favorites as well.. One of the best indie films I have ever seen. I heard the director isn't to fond of it but I'm sure when he looks back he can see several things he wished he could have done but couldn't due to the tight time constraints on the project..
Yeah, I have several friends who like to argue with me that it is crap. Of course the budget was like seven dollars. LMAO But I was so impressed with what it had to say. And as you know, that means more to me than anything. It is better to deliver a good story with no money than to spend all kinds of crazy money just to make crap.
I also really enjoy I, Zombie. That is another Fangoria film.
-hostel -cabin fever -texas chainsaw massacre(origional) -hills remake -evil dead series -the dead series -dead alive -wolf creek -zombie -the devils rejects -the return of the living dead
a bunch more though...
