Topic: BAD Taste

I finally got to see this movie, so funny, loved it. Thanks Tim for having the avatar that got me checkin out the movie, I had never even heard of it before.

Re: BAD Taste

Peter Jackson went from this to Hobbits to KING KONG and lost weight. I think the coolest thing he could do would be a sequel to BAD TASTE!

Re: BAD Taste

I think the coolest thing PJ can do right now is the heck with adapting The Lovely Bones and do a low budget, balls to the wall, take no prisoners splatter film.  Go back to his roots.

And Mick Garris ring him of course for doing a MoH movie should there be a Season 3.  Or PJ create his own Masters series...MASTERS OF SPLATTER.

Re: BAD Taste

I've never been able to get my hands on a copy of Bad Taste or Meet the Feebles.. I would love to check both of them out.. But I'm not really a fan of Dead Alive.. Never really enjoyed it..

Re: BAD Taste

It's my pleasure.  "Bad Taste" is an awesome movie.  It just goes to show that low budget can be better than big budget (IMO).  "Meet the Feebles", while not horror, is still a bizarre film thats definately worth checking out.

Man, I love "Dead Alive".  How come you didn't like it, Goon?

Re: BAD Taste

I remember watching Bad Taste a few years back and loved it. It was amazing how good some of the gore was for it's budget too.

Re: BAD Taste

I don't know.. I think its just something about the humor in gore that I just don't like.. I just don't like the slapstick gore stuff I guess.. At least combined with the humor that PJ uses..

Re: BAD Taste

Just watch Bad Taste, its a great B movie.  With a very young and thin PJ.

Meet the Feebles (you have to special order it, got mine from Borders), is just...so so wrong...so wrong in so many ways yet so funny.  From a porn film making rat to a fox who sings lovely about sodime...its so wrong yet so funny....Muppets on acid is to give it credit.

Re: BAD Taste

I haven't seen Bad Taste or Meet The Feebles yet either. Soon though....
I think Dead Alive is excellent and The Frighteners is pretty good too.

Re: BAD Taste

"The Frighteners" is another good old Peter Jackson ghost flick.

Re: BAD Taste

braindead and bad taste are soooo funny and 2 of most entertaining horror coms ever imo

Re: BAD Taste

It would be great if Peter Jackson returned to his roots.

Until then, we can rely on the perverse minds from Down Under for such films as Undead and the upcoming Black Sheep.

It must be something in the water....

Re: BAD Taste

I enjoyed the frighteners but I would love to see dead alive and I'm deffently looking forward to lovely bones that was such a great book..

Re: BAD Taste

On a quick note about Undead, the Brothers are gonna be doing a vampire movie next.

Haven't read Lovely Bones, intend to someday.

ooh its a must..I've read it 3 or 4 times now..

Re: BAD Taste

I didn't find it that funny. Although it has great gore and I think it really proves that as long as you're talented you don't need huge budgets to produce a great film.

I doubt that Peter Jackson would return to his roots. He's making too much money and is so famous that he won't stop having millionaire projects. Although it would be great that he produces an independent film (from his own pocket) and make another horror/gore/comedy movie.

Re: BAD Taste

Yeah, Peter Jackson has tasted the good life.  But, I do wish he'd come back to his roots.  Blow us away.

Re: BAD Taste

I only seen this movie twice, once was about 7 years and last time I  watched was late 2013

I didn't remember much about it, I thought there was very good decent gory moment in this movie, which I thought really good, for is first movie.

The effect were really good, very decent and fum to watch, I did think that the movie would have been more funny, then it was. I did laugh a few times.

Some of the other stuff. I Just felt it was silly and not funny. It dose seem a little outdated.

Re: BAD Taste

Wow, talk about reviving an old thread!  7 years!
And yes, great film.
And it's all because of an evil, demon monkey-thing.  smile

Re: BAD Taste

got the R1 Anchor Bay sp ed i bought some years ago

prefer Btaindead though

Re: BAD Taste

I've really got to get around to watching this, as I enjoyed Dead Alive and The Frighteners, and I thought Meet the Feebles was alright.

Re: BAD Taste

I never seen Meet the Feebles, other than the trailer and a few clips online.

I love Bad Taste, for me its right up there with Dead Alive. So much fun and i love the old cheap f/x so much better than the cheap cgi garbage we see today.

Re: BAD Taste

Saw Meet the Feebles once, back around '97 or so.  It was kind of "meh," to be honest.  I remember it being funny here and there, and you can see a lot of work went into the puppets and costumes, but unless you want to see puppets nude and screwing, there's not really much to write home about, IMO.  It's one of those oddities hardcore cult film fans might want to check out, but others will likely find little of interest.

Re: BAD Taste

Yeah it honestly didn't look appealing to me at all so I passed on it.

Re: BAD Taste

It wasn't bad,.
