Re: Just comment on it
Buffy, no doubt! Why? Just because it`s the best show ever made by the champion Joss Whedon. From the 1. right to the 7. season it develops to be better and better. And even though I hated it when it stopped ,WHAT and ending it was, wow. Great characters, really good acting, the stories being told, the comedy, all the ref to the occult/religions/myths , it all adds up to the greatest series ever made. Firefly on a good second, also Joss Whedon and of course contains almost all the components that made Buffy a hit + a little more fun stuff. Thank you Joss Whedon for making beyond great stuff!!!

After my own heart Nice to meet another Buffy fan Although I will be the first to say this. I hated season 7, ideally I wish they had ended the show on season 6 as season 7, for me, seemed too disjointed and uneven. Add some very unlikeable characters... Kennedy (sorry I don't like her, I never will), Dawn who is actually more irritating than ever and a bunch of the 'new' slayers, and it's my least favourite season of BTVS. The ending makes up for it a little, but doesn't excuse the poor episodes leading up to it.
Re: Just comment on it
Hack, tell me I am not alone on this LOL, but season 7, episode 19: Empty Places when the gang decide Buffy is no longer allowed in the house, god, that pissed me off! First off, if you watch the episode before it, there are a lot of red herrings that make you question why they suddenly take back what they said of her previously and TWO: it was her house, wherever they thought she was in the right or not, they should have been the ones to leave. ARGH. I HATE that episode! you can tell my disdain for season 7.
Re: Just comment on it
Yeah, that bugged me too. Not the best writing went into that season, which is a shame because great writing was the hallmark of that series.
Re: Just comment on it
I think the problem was they tried to introduce far too many characters, with the amount of episodes you had to cover ground on at least a certain majority of characters and there was too many. I think it's why the writing before season 7 was better. It was more confined to specific characters, more space was given to play with them and to show that depth, season 7 unfortunately over exerted itself and sadly, it ruined a lot of the writing which is pretty much the apex of Buffy.
Re: Just comment on it
That too, coming up with individual stuff for each of the newbie slayers took a lot of screen time and got old after awhile and on top of that they brought in Principle Wood, Andrew, Jonathan, Kennedy, Caleb, Faith, plus all the regulars. Overload. They should have either gotten an extra few episodes so the could take their time, or simplify the plot. I think they were trying to exhaust all their ideas, even the half hatched ones.
