Topic: WET Trailer: Ok so it's not horror, but still it's gritty grindhouse

Yeah Yeah Yeah, it's not a horror game.....but there should be some good bloodshed as it is rated M for Blood and Gore,  Drug Reference,  Intense Violence,  Sexual Content,  Strong Language.

Seriously looks like an oldschool grindhouse film in some ways.  Comes out Sept 15th, it's $10 cheaper with preorder at GameStop & Amazon right now.

That is really cool! Saw something on machinima a while ago about it looks great!
The other game the looks cool is a bmovie-ish scifi horror ish game

^Yeah Borderlands looks cool, but RAGE looks cooler...unfortunately no trailer for it yet but it was featured on the cover of the last Game Informer Magazine and looks AMAZING.

Well there are short teasers for Rage but those are like 2 years old and looks even better now.

I take that back, found a decent one for Rage.  It's an open world game from id software (the guys behind Doom) and EA (Dead Space)

Looks good! There is allot of cool stuff coming out its hard to keep them all straight.

Yea I have actually been following all of the games you guys posted about.. It should be noted that Ruby in Wet is voiced by Eliza Dushku..

As far as Borderlands is concerned I lost a lot of interest when I discovered you could only choose between four different characters.. I don't know why that should matter so much.. But recently I have really grown to love Fallout 3 and Mass Effect for the ability to create your own character.. But Rage is definitely looking good..

I have been really into third person games more lately so Wet really intrigues me. Doesn't hurt that it's made by Bethesda Softworks and written by on of the writers of 24.

Only thing I worry about with Rage is the game being too dune buggy oriented

Yea I had the same feeling about Rage.. I'm hoping that the racing isn't a major part of the game and just a kind of bonus.. like maybe Fallout 3 with vehicles..

The article in Game Informer makes it sound like the dune buggy is a decent part of your character development. So we shall see but since it's being made by id, it's still high on my radar for now

Here is the new QuakeCon trailer that they just released.. Looks really good and they reveal a little bit more of the action.. It's looking better and I'm hoping this one plays more like a FPS than Fallout 3.. I think that was the one thing that has started to nag at me in FO3.. I feel like I go in.. fall back and hide and then get overwhelmed by Mutants or scavengers..
