Topic: MGM to release "Poltergeist" on November 24, 2010.

MGM has just chosen the release date of the remake of Poltergeist (1982) to be on a Thanksgiving week.  It will be released November 24, 2010.  The director is Vadim Perelman.  The writers are Juliet Snowden amd Stiles White who are also writing the screenplay for the remake of Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963).
  Casting has not been done yet.

This, other than Tourist Trap, was probably the film that scared me the most in my childhood, and I still have to look away during the maggot/face tearing off scene. But I'll give the remake a chance ... I think.
