dude, back in my late teens, after being raised on rock and metal, I was only about punk and hardcore - it's all I listened to for a good spell.

I think it's ok music, but it's definitely not the misfits... Danzig is irreplaceable.
I like that '12 Hits From Hell' album that never officially got released.

From this era of American punk I like Black Flag, Descendents, Dead Kennedys, Bad Brains, Suicidal Tendencies, Minor Threat & Misfits.

fantastic taste - Adolescents and Circle Jerks are big faves as well
give the Angry Samoans a listen if you haven't - they're great as well

The Ramones are one of my favorites.. I think i prefer early East-coast Punk... especially the stuff in New York that was leading up to punk like Television, Patti Smith and Suicide.
The Cramps are great too! Lux Interior was pretty cool.
American punk > British punk
although there are some British ones i listen to as well...
Siouxsie and the Banshees, X-Ray Spex, The Raincoats, Wire, Gang of Four.. to name a few..
