Topic: Tobe Hoopers Original Toolbox Murders on Bluray

I do not understand the need to release classic horror on Bluray since its not exactly designed for the format. I am no HD guru so those of you who are can chime in but what is the logic of taking a classic horror film and releasing it in HD format?

It's not always about the quality, it's about a movie not getting lost in the mix.  Even though Blu Ray players will play the DVD format, it is still a dying format.  So by releasing it on Blu Ray, even though some of the movies don't look as clear as others, it's the fact of the matter they ARE on the next generation platform.  There are some movies not even on DVD yet so by a movie being on Blu Ray, means we'll keep seeing it for years to come

Toolbox Murders sucks pretty bad. The remake is much better.

I thought Hooper only directed the remake.  Guess I could be wrong, I've never seen the original.  I wanna check it out but can never find a copy anywhere.
