Re: The Dream Thread
Yup, me too. Mine can sometimes be annoying because even knowing it, I sometimes still can't control it.
Re: The Dream Thread
I imagine it can be pretty frustrating. I've been trying to get a lucid dream for months, and now I finally got one. Just woke up too early and didn't have time to experiment is all. Still, it was a pretty weird but awesome dream.

Re: The Dream Thread
I had a dream my grandmother was a witch and she was trying to feed me and siblings as much food as possible so we were fat, juicy, and good for eatin'. I also had a dream I was David Spade, and I was about to die in an airplane crash. I also had another dream where I was eating ham. I hate my dreams.

That is brilliant! According to some crazy psychic, "Dreams of eating are therefore closely associated with sexuality. If you dream of gorging yourself it can indicate that you have an indulgent sexuality whereas dreaming of fasting or starvation may indicate that you deny your sexual needs. " Also, dreaming that you are eating ham apparently means you need to preserve some energy. Just in case you wanted to know. Sadly I don't dream. The last one I had that I remember was years ago, which was about some Smarties machine that was trying to eat me.
Re: The Dream Thread
Who the hell wants to dream of ham? LOL I feel ya, man. Although my waking dreams are consistently ones of excessive debauchery and sexual congress; unfortunately, more often than not, my sleeping-self prefers to show my mind's eye all sorts of mundane and meaningless drivel. I don't think I can ever recall dreaming I was someone else, either. Huh.

LOL, thanks Deth. You've shown me the light of my ham-eating-dreaming ways.

Yep, we're on the same boat me thinks. My dreams are a just a big blob of random 'whatever''. When it comes to questioning why I had a certain dream, it's just hopeless most of the time. "Who the hell wants to dream of ham?" - Not me.

ditto. and sadly my Acme Dream-Decoder is still on backorder from Amazon I do have the occasional "cool dream" of either a sexual or horrific nature. Scary dreams are the best, but the older I get the fewer of those type I have. I like to wake up in a temporary state of panic, myself. But 9 times out of 10 it's not from some terribly fascinating dreamscape I had, but only from yet another sexual predator who has broken into my home. Just can't bring myself to change those locks though
Re: The Dream Thread
I should probably buy a dream decoder book myself. Dreams are interesting, man. I've been doing research on the pineal glad lately too...weird stuff it is.
Re: The Dream Thread
Dreams are just your brain's way of defragmenting. It's an amalgamation of emotions and images you've experienced, condensed by your logic-craving mind into some form of narrative. I was looking at a picture of Daniel Craig yesterday from Casino Royale and thought his build was impressive, and began thinking about my own weight loss goals and how much I've worked out the last eight months. Last night he showed up at some point in my dream big as a house because he was training for the Mr. Olympia. Dreams don't have meaning, unless you read meaning into them. Just saying.

I'd love to know what crap my brain downloads that results in some of my dreams. Wow, are they weird. And I like it!

You could always try a dream journal. Like write down everthing you've dreamed right when you awake. Keep one by your bedside. Helps you be able to remember more of your dreams. I tried it for two weeks once, but I quite because I got tired of getting up in the middle of the night, turn on the light, and have to write. I have a habit of writing too much too, so that didn't help. But, it's a method that does work if you wanna put the effort in to do it. I didn't though.
Re: The Dream Thread
I did that in high school but i do not care that much
Re: The Dream Thread
Just woke up from a really creepy dream about me and my friend's family being stalked by somebody. I was spending the night at my friend's house, and his dad awoke me in the middle of the night, on the verge of tears and telling me to how he thought he saw someone in the house yesterday but he disappeared, and that I've got to be careful and blah, blah, blah. What made this dream particularily creepy was just the sound of his voice, he was speaking in tones of anger/paranoia that were pretty hideous. Nasty feeling dream.
Re: The Dream Thread
Last night I dreamed I was a tiny...thing...that slid all the way down this creature's throat, into his stomach, and some how came out clean on the other side. I was lost in a video game, very Mario World like.
Re: The Dream Thread
Had a really unsettling dream the other night. I dreamt that I was telling one of my closest girlfriends that I was party to my ex-boyfriend's death. I had been with him and 2 male friends one night in a cemetary and we'd all been drinking. On of my mates had shot him accidentally so we buried his body and all the evidence. I was telling her about 3-4 months after the fact and I was freaking out that the body would be discovered and my entire life would go down the toilet. She and I decided to visit where the body was buried to see whether it was still well hidden; when we got there we saw that the area had been concreted over and a path had been built. Then I woke up... and in that half asleep / half awake haze I couldn't figure out if it was just a dream or not! I swear I've never been more freaked out in my life. That pit-in-the-stomach feeling was just awful. I think I've been spending too much time at work
Re: The Dream Thread
Water is always an element in my dreams...whether its raining or the ocean is involved...sometimes its a lake I'm around ...and sometimes I'm just plain underwater like the city of Rapture...weird
