Topic: What's the name of this horror film/tv episode please?

wondering if someone can help me find the title of something I saw many years ago.

It was a tv episode in colour amout a woman who picks up a voodoo idol (african i think) and pricks herself on the dagger it is holding (the statue has big teeth and a big dagger as I remember) and she starts to feel funny. In the end she starts to become like the statue with big teeth and the last scene she is standing by the door in the same position as the statue with a dagger in her hands waiting to kill her husband. I think it is from the late 70's or early 80's.

If someone can give me the name i would be eternally grateful as I really want to see it again. Thanks

It sounds like on of the shorts from Trilogy of Terror, episode name 'Amerlia'.

I concur with the esteemed monkey's idea.
Definitely Amelia from Trilogy of Terror.
There was another thread a while back with someone trying to find out what it was hmm
