DAMN! What I wanna watch is an old Universal film that I have never seen AND I can find on Netflix or YouTube...
Problem is, I'm not sure there is such a movie....

The Black Cat (1934) perhaps?

Unfortunately, I've seen the Black Cat and also the Raven from around the same time, too.

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

Watched a few over the holiday weekend:

Sinister  - a lot better than I thought it was going to be, but I had it figured out after twenty minutes.  Still, some nicely disturbing imagery and of course Ethan Hawke acted the hell out of it.  7/10

Maniac  -- the remake starring Elijah Wood.  Interesting and just as graphic as the original, but the first person POV got tiring after a while.  But I kept dozing off while watching it so I'll have to give it another look to fully form an opinion.

Crap.  Suddenly I'm forgetting the other two or three we watched.  Oh well.

"Haunter" with Abigail Breslin. Was a bit confused with it. I think I'll have to give it another watch.

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

I saw last sunday, I don't why i didn't posti it

The Craft (1996)

Finally got to seen this movie for the first time, I had not seen it before, I heard a lot good comment about it,

I found the whole movie really good, it might not be scary or creepy but it's one of those fun horror movies, I liked the story of the movie and the pacing the was really good.

Some of the effects were decent and the acting was really good from the whole cast.

7 out of 10

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006)

This plots sound a decent, it taken me years to see this cause, I heard nothing bad comments, I saw for 75p, So what the hell.

This started off like any normal slasher movie but then after first kill, that well movie suck so low, that could not get back up.

I found this to be one of most dullest slasher movies, seen, there was not tension, there deaths were all the same and very boring.

The main twist I did not get all, I didn't get it at all then try pick up right at end of the movie with few turns

The acting was decent but most of then annoy the hell out of you.

3 out of 10 really poor

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

And I Just re-watch Dolly Dearest 1991

I had only seen it once before, it thought i liked but I could remember how it's ended,

I liked how the plot started and the movie made some tense moments, I loved Mirror scenes, where get to see doll standing and again she was gone.

The doll it's self was very creepy and I thought kill scenes were really well done, it still work these days .

But felt some of script was bit weak in some parts of the movie, made it's feel a bit outdated and I found the ending a litte rushed.

I would not mind if this movie gets remake but it's not of best killer doll movies, well it was not as fun as Chucky or even The Dolls, were fun watch, I didn't really find this movie that fun

The acting was decent.  6 out of 10

How was it?

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

I haven't posted on here in so long, I can't remember what I last shared...but I would say the last one I watched was The X Files I Want To Believe...if you could consider that a horror movie.  If not, then John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness

I'm not a fan of Christianity either, believe me. In fact I firmly believe those crazy kids in Norway had the right idea when they started burning down churches in the early 90's... But look at it this way, the Bible is basically a horror story, so I can accept Christianity in a horror setting.

Oh yeah, I didn't like Under the Bed at all. Hated it. Couldn't wait for it to be over. Just terrible.

Re: Last horror movie you watched?

Christianity definitely makes for scary movies.  Kevin's Smith's Red State...perfect example of how accepting they can all be!

NonEuclidean, different folks different views and opinions, I accept them but doesn't always understand some of them, not that I care really. lol

OldLaughingLad, yes in some it's a very effective set up, Stigmata for example and for me, the best Horror in that damn book is the Apocalypse obviously. In fact, I ripped away everything else and kept ONLY this in the book. Much less big and full of damn crappy sludgy slimy shit.
