I worked as a bicycle courier in Melbourne for about a year, it's definitely an adrenaline rush. It's a real treat for the senses swerving around cars and pedestrians trying to make the deliveries on time all the while the possibility of some awful crash lurking in the back of your mind (or at the very front when i first started). My main concern were people that stop their cars and open the car doors straight into the bike lane without looking, i had some pretty scary close calls from people jdoing that. After a while it almost feels like a video game, man i miss that job, I'd love to give New York a ride although I'm sure it's a lot more intense than little ol Melbourne.
