Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
And I hope you don't mind. I'd like to back it up to Flight of the Living Dead for a sec. lol I bought that movie blind because I had a written a short story about zombies on a plane years before and I was curious to see what someone else had done with the idea. And I really enjoy it. I love the little touches like the bitey grandma zombie with no teeth. Also, I find the characters to be surprisingly enjoyable and I even care about them. I think it's a hoot and I'm happy to see someone I respect say nice things about it. Carry on.

Hard Candy- 8/10 for me. Anything that bugs me that much can't be lower than that.

Mar 13 - Dark Tide (2012) - The film has some really nice footage of Great Whites off the coast of Affrica, but the rest of the film is just meh. Halle Berry's character is really annoying, and early on, you can pretty much tell how the whole film is going to play out. 2.5/5. First Watch.

Day 22- Sweeney Todd (2007)- 7/10 Rewatch Dvd
Johnny Depp as the Demon Barber of Fleet Street. At first I thought can I really count this as a Horror movie? But the demon barber sure kills a lot of people in this movie. And there is a really sad twist at the end. plus it is so much fun to watch! Bram Stoker's Dracula- 9/10 (1992) Rewatch Netflix
I love this movie... I adore a good Love Story even if he is an evil bloodsucker!
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
I agree with both of those. Bram Stoker's Dracula is one of the sexiest and most romantic movies ever. I always get turned on watching it and when I initially saw in the theater, I cried THREE times. lol I love it so, so much. And Annie Lenox's Lovesong For a Vampire in the closing credits is sooo beautiful. Whenever I watch it I replay the end credits at least three times so I can hear it again and again.

^^ Pervert
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
Awesome That one and Interview with a Vampire are girlie Porn...lol I love them both <3
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
Sweeney Todd not a horror movie? Wha?? Love that movie!
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
I'd say the killing and cannibalism count for the horror factor. [official proclamation] Let it be known that I, Cap Howdy, have declared Sweeney Todd to be a horror movie. [/official proclamation]
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
LMAO I never said I wasn't a pervert. And I have made the same official proclamation about JAWS.
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
^ yeah, that's still seems to be up for debate unfortunately.
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
What debate? Jaws is a love story.
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge

Mar 14 - Shark Night (2011) - A shark movie two nights in a row. Not as horrible as one would expect. The CGI sharks were laughable for the most part, and some of the action sequences were just ridiculous, but it was an enjoyable watch none the less. As a side note, I hardly recognized Joshua Leonard (The Blair Witch Project) as Red, until I got a good look at him on their boat. 3/5. First Watch.
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
Maven- I watched a monster movie today Day 23- Brotherhood of the Wolf (2001)- 7/10 First Watch Dvd
Based on a true story about people being attacked by a giant monster in rural France in the 1700s. Over 60 villagers were killed by animal attacks. The locals thought it was a werewolf or shapeshifter monster or beast. Here is an interesting article about it... http://www.newanimal.org/beastgev.htm There were quite a few Martial Arts fights in the movie which was a nice surprise. From Hell (2001)- 7/10 Rewatch Dvd
Johnny Depp is great in this movie about Jack the Ripper. However I prefer the TV movie starring Michael Caine as the better version of this story.
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
YAY!!! The fact that I inspired that is the best possible compliment I could receive.

Ohhh.....I can tell you Maven, that ain't all you've inspired round here. Dirty...Brotherhood is one of my favorite-ist movies E V E R ! Mark Dacascos is one of the greatest TV / Movie martial artists to ever be filmed. Great fight scenes. Awesome boobies. Scary type creature. Isolation and pretty women. Betrayal. More fights and more great boobies. Movie is close to perfect. Plus...Vincent Cassel, one of the greatest actors E V E R! Love it!

Word. I'm a big Dacascos fan and hate that he is never given his due props. Dude can chop socky with the best of 'em. Really dug him in Crying Freeman, his brief run on The Crow tv series and the capoeira-heavy Only the Strong from back in the early 90s. Dude deserves more work. As for Brotherhood of the Wolf, I tried to enjoy it but the mood (not to mention mish-mash of genres) was too schizophrenic for me to really get into it. Good performances and all, sure, but it felt all kinds of uneven for me.

Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
^^No problemo UD, and thanks to DG for the thread and challenge. Didn't watch anything last night, I got too caught up in March Madness and Hockey. I will have to watch two tonight to make up. I am a fan of Brotherhood too, great flick. It has been some time, so I will have to plan on watching it again soon.
Re: DirtyGirl's Horror Movie A Day Challenge
Thanks Alien for posting! I haven't seen a lot of the films you mention...I think I need to watch more foreign movies!
